Network International is one of the best known payment processors in the UAE, and many businesses already use it for their card machines. Its online gateway, N Genius, lets the same merchant relationship take card payments on the web. For a restaurant or shop that already banks with Network, keeping online payments with the same provider is often the simplest path.
Wink You connects to N Genius directly. On the Payment Methods page it appears simply as Network. Here is what it does, how to set it up and what to expect.
What the Network connection does
- Card payments at your online store checkout, on the N Genius hosted payment page.
- Card payments on the QR Digital Menu for restaurants with QR self ordering on.
- Full and partial refunds from Payments, sent back through N Genius.
- Currencies on the Network card: AED, USD, EUR, GBP, SAR, QAR, KWD, BHD, OMR, JOD and EGP.
Payments are taken as a sale, captured in one step, and the money goes straight into your Network merchant account. Wink You does not hold it. Before marking an order paid, Wink You asks N Genius for the real order status with your own credentials, so a payment is never trusted on the webhook message alone.
How to connect Network (N Genius)
- In Business Admin, open Payment Methods and click Connect on Network.
- Pick the Currency, for example AED for a UAE business, and the Mode: Test while you try it, Live for real payments.
- Paste your API Key and Outlet Reference from the N Genius portal.
- Copy the webhook address shown in the panel into the N Genius portal, under Settings, Integrations, Webhooks.
- Paste the signing secret into Webhook signing secret.
- Switch it On and click Save.
Network reviews and whitelists a new webhook address before it goes active. Until then, a paid order is still confirmed by a background check, so it can take a few minutes to show as paid. That is normal in the first days after you connect.
Refunds through Network
Open Payments, find the payment, choose Refund and keep Original Method. Lower the Refund Amount for a partial refund, add a reason, and click Confirm Refund. Wink You never lets a partial refund turn into a full one: if the amount cannot be sent correctly, the refund is refused rather than guessed. A card refund can take a few days to reach the customer.
What is not included
- Your Network card machines at the till. Those keep working through Network directly; this connection is for online payments.
- A separate Network account per branch from the app. One account per provider serves the whole business.
Test before you go live
Ask Network for test credentials and set the Mode to Test while you try it, so no real card is charged. Place a test order on your own store or QR menu and check it shows as paid in Orders. When you are ready, paste your live API Key and Outlet Reference, set the Mode to Live and save. Keys must match the mode: a test card is declined in live mode, and a real card cannot pay in test mode.
When Network shows to customers
Network is offered at checkout only when it shows Active and supports the branch currency. On the QR Digital Menu, guests can pay only when QR self ordering is on, and delivery is offered only when an online payment is available for the branch currency, because the QR menu does not accept cash on delivery. You can run Network next to other gateways, for example Network for cards and Tabby or Tamara for pay later, and customers see every active provider.
Who can change it
By default only the business owner can open Payment Methods, through the Payment gateways and payout accounts permission. Before keys are saved you may be asked to confirm it is you with your password, passkey or two factor code.
Online payments and your Network card machines
Many businesses use Network both online and at the counter. The two stay separate in the money flow: online payments go into your N Genius account and reach your bank on Network’s schedule, while card machine payments at the till settle through your card machine provider. In Wink You both show in Payments, each with its method, status and amount. For restaurants, you can also choose which till’s Z report receives online payments, so the end of day count matches the drawer.
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect the Network payment gateway?
Open Payment Methods, click Connect on Network, paste your API Key and Outlet Reference, add the webhook in the N Genius portal, paste its signing secret, switch it On and save.
Where do I find the Outlet Reference?
It comes from your N Genius portal together with your API key, and it identifies the outlet that receives the payments. If you cannot find it, ask Network to share it with you.
Why does a paid order take a few minutes to show?
Most likely Network has not activated your webhook yet. Until it does, Wink You confirms payments with a background check.
