How to set a budget and compare it with actuals in Wink You, step by step.
From your dashboard, open the menu on the left, and choose Wink Accounting.
Under Setup, choose Budgets, then click Create Budget.
Choose the account to budget for, for example Food Cost.
The period is this month. Change the start and end dates if you need to.
Enter the budgeted amount, and click Save.
Each budget is listed with its account and period.
To compare, choose Budget vs actual under Reports.
Each account shows its budget, what you actually spent, and the difference.
Here you can see what is under budget, and what is over.
Budgets are spread by day, so any date range compares fairly.
