Our Story,

For as long as I can remember, I always seemed to be wearing the next fashionable trend just before you saw it in the magazines and runways. Wherever I went and whatever I wore, people would always ask "Where'd you get that outfit?…I love it!" People closest to me always wondered aloud how I did that, but I never really thought much of it... it just came natural to me. Those same people urged me to open a store but, even though I enjoyed shopping for myself, the thought of buying and selling fashion for others was the furthest thing from my mind. That was until December 2002…I was working for a luxury retail company in NYC as VP of marketing and merchandising, when suddenly I got the entrepreneurial itch. Well, to make a long story short, it was there that I honed my business skills for a while and before you could "wink", that little itch blossomed into a beautiful storefront in Rockville Centre, Long Island named Wink New York.

I love my boutique and you will find me there most days of the week running the daily operations and complementing my customer’s wardrobe with my fashion. Why a website then? Well first of all, with one storefront, I am only able to reach out to a limited number of people in the small surrounding area. Therefore, people are constantly asking when I'm going to open up another place closer to their “neck of the woods”. While opening more locations is an option, I feel that the business would lose my personal touch if I can't be there on a daily basis. Secondly, since I am limited to the fashion demands of this small area, I cannot sell all the items I truly enjoy. Of course, in order to cover expenses at Wink New York ,we need to cater to the customer wants and needs in the neighborhood, but I'd rather express the whole me and bring it to a broader audience while still keeping the core of the business. After some thought my solution to that problem was...yes, you guessed it, WinkYou.com.

This way I get the best of both worlds...I keep my storefront, while allowing the world to shop from the comfort of their own homes, businesses, cell phones, wherever. You see, WinkYou is me. Each time you visit, you'll experience the website growing and adapting as I do and, at the same time, feeling my passion as you browse through all the wonderful items that I have personally hand-picked. Most importantly, I am always open for comments (good or bad) and ideas (no matter how far-fetched you think they are). I expect and value your input to help grow and improve this site. Remember, even though it's my passion, it's still all about YOU. So let's have fun together!

The bottom line is....if you’re looking for a site that just wants your hard-earned $, does not care what you buy, how it fits, or takes your money and runs, this is not the place for you….there are thousands of online stores that will gladly accommodate you. We most definitely care how you look and more importantly how you feel when wearing our fashion choices…..after all, you REPRESENT!
